Brenda Watson, ND, CNC, is a nationally recognized digestive health expert, traditional naturopath, certified nutritional consultant, New York Times bestselling author and longtime PBS health educator who has spent more than 30 years helping people understand the connection between the gut and whole-body health.

Her latest book, “The Hunger Reset: A Fiber-First Plan to End Cravings, Balance Hormones, and Take Back Control of Your Appetite — Naturally,” will be published by BenBella Books and distributed by Simon & Schuster on April 13, 2027. Drawing on decades of experience and her own private research study, Watson explores how the gut microbiome, blood sugar and hunger hormones influence cravings, appetite, weight and metabolic health, and why working with biology may be more effective than relying on willpower alone.

Watson has authored 11 books on digestive and metabolic health, including the New York Times bestseller “The Fiber35 Diet,” and has hosted seven PBS health specials. She has appeared on “Good Morning America,” “The View,” CNN Headline News, “The Suzanne Somers Show” and “The Dr. Oz Show.”

An early voice in the gut health movement, Watson began her career by establishing five natural health clinics focused on digestive health, detoxification and nutrition before co-founding Renew Life Formulas in 1997 and later founding Vital Planet. She studied naturopathy and nutritional counseling at Trinity School of Natural Health and is an inductee into the National Nutrition Awards Hall of Fame.
